TALL GRASS PRAIRIE: Iain Nicholson Audobon Center, Rowe Sanctuary, Nebraska
The tallgrass prairies of North America are a critically endangered, biodiverse ecosystem. Created for Ink Dwell studio, under direction of EDX studio. Installed at Rowe Sanctuary, Nebraska.











HONEY BEE HIVE: Audobon Insectarium, New Orleans, Louisiana
This mural investigates the social life of bees. The honey bee lifecycle is on display from egg, through brooding, and emergence. The social foraging behavior of bees is featured on honeycomb in the background. Created for Ink Dwell studio, installed at the Audobon Insectarium in New Orleans, Louisiana






WATERSHEDS: Sherwood School, Willits, California
Mendocino County’s coastal rivers flow from inland grasslands, through pine and oak woodlands, towering redwood forests, rich coastal wetlands and ultimately empty into the Pacific Ocean. These rivers support critically endangered salmon species, including one of California’s strongest remaining wild populations of ndangered coho salmon. Students participated in each step of the mural process while learning about local ecology through associated classroom activities and fieldtrips.




MAYOR'S MONARCH: Alex Thomas Plaza, Ukiah, California
Monarch butterflies are a flagship species in larger conversations about the importance of pollinators and preserving the habitats that they rely on. This mural celebrates the City of Ukiah's pledge to support monarch butterflies and native pollinators.



BEYOND COVID: Ukiah High School, Ukiah, California
Created in collaboration with students at Ukiah High School, this mural represents hope for a time when students can move on from the isolation of COVID while acknowledging those lost and the role of science in recovery. Made possible with support from the Arts Council of Mendocino County.



INLAND & COASTAL ZONES: Mendocino County Juvenile Hall, Ukiah, California
Danza worked with youth at the Juvenile Hall over 3 years to bring the beauty of nature into an outdoor community space. Companion murals in two local libraries connect the project to the broader community, acting as a bridge to the positive change made inside the hall. Made possible with support from the Arts Council of Mendocino County and the California Arts Council.
